Products
Yes, we do! The larger your order, the more discount that can be applied. Email us at enquiries@skirtinguk.com to get a Trade Quote.
Yes, if you no longer want or need your order, you can return your goods to us. With all products being made to order – we will be able to offer a 70% refund, as a 30% restocking fee will need to be charged on your products. Returns must be actioned within 14 days of your delivery date. You must arrange for your order to be returned to us, or alternatively, we can obtain a quote for the collection of the goods for you via our couriers. The delivery fee will not be refunded.
If your product is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods by email (admin@skirtinguk.com) with images of damages and we will get this rectified for you.
Most likely yes. If your desired height is in between two options, then simply choose the taller height and let us know in the notes section at checkout, the height you want and we will cut it down to size for you.
We get many of our customers who have specific requirements such as 68mm, 119mm, 150mm 169mm, and 269mm and this is no issue.
For example, if you would like a 150mm tall skirting board, order 170mm and we will cut it down to size for you.

Generally, we find that 18mm is the most common thickness purchased here.
Finishes are when you choose to have a paint application applied to your product. This would then become a pre-finished product. Options are Eggshell, Satin or Gloss finishes.
Yes! We use high quality, moisture resistant MDF for all of our products.
Well for starters the pro’s allow you to have a completely pre-finished product so this saves you time when installing, you will not need to paint this item at all. We will prime your order twice rub it down smooth and then apply the finish of your choice.
The con’s can be when you install the product using nails and you create a hole or where the cut marks are, they may need touching up. This can be resolved by using a small tester pot of touch-up paint. We have this available on our website

When applying to your product please try not to paint with a brush, we recommend that you dab the areas required with a small art brush.
Yes, we only use one supplier for our paint so your order will match every time.
We think the easiest way for you to understand how to fit skirting board is with a video tutorial. We have a video shown below which takes you step by step on how to fit skirting board.
All of our paints at Skirting UK are oil-based. This includes our primer, eggshell, satin, and gloss paints.
There is a selection of profiles at Skirting UK that can be made on 15mm. These are products where the profile is not too deep.
The products that can be made on 15mm are:

Please note that 15mm thick board, is only available on 2440mm or 3050mm, and can NOT be ordered on 4200mm.
Samples
Yes, you can. Our samples come free of charge, just pay for delivery.
Our skirting samples come in the standard size of 120mm x 18mm x 95mm.
Our architrave sample sizes are 70mm x 18mm x 95mm.
(Some architrave samples with wider profiles will come on a wider sample.)

All samples bought online are sent out with two coats of our primer and an eggshell finish. This is how your products will look when they are ordered in Eggshell.
Bespoke samples can be ordered to help you decide on the right height and thickness for your project. They come with a charge of £7.50 (plus vat) and are great to help you make a perfect choice.
Sure, if you would like to see how a specific finish looks you can order through our bespoke samples service. Simply choose the profile you would like and opt for the finish you desire. Bespoke samples come with a fee of £7.50 (plus vat)
When producing a bespoke sample we have to cut a full length and this incurs waste. The charge covers the cost for production, waste and delivery.
Delivery
At Skirting UK we have a variety of delivery options you can choose from. Depending on your finish and delivery option, your turnover time will differ.
Please note the working day ends at 12pm.
Standard Delivery
Primed & Unprimed – 4-8 working days (in most cases you will receive on the 6th working day)
Satin & Eggshell – 6-10 working days (in most cases you will receive on the 8th working day)
Fast Track Delivery:*
Primed & Unprimed Only – 2-3 working days
Saturday Delivery:*
To qualify for the same week Saturday on primed and unprimed orders, you must make your order by Monday 12 pm, to allow the production of your order. All orders thereafter and finished jobs will be sent the following Saturday. (Great for people who can’t be home on weekdays)
*We also offer a ‘Before Noon‘ options on Standard, Fast-track, and Saturday delivery, ensuring you will receive your delivery in the morning!

Yes, If the product is faulty – we will collect the goods and replace them as soon as possible. (See terms & conditions) If you do not like the product – we can take the goods back however you will be charged for the collection of the goods plus you will only receive 70% of the material costs back as we take a 30% restocking fee to recover the costs as all products are made to order here at SkirtingUK.
Once your order is created we will process the order and email you a scheduled delivery date. If you are unable to be at the property on this date, please let us know as soon as you can to re-arrange a date more convenient for you. Please note, that this will most likely be a later date.
If you can, please notify us on the notes section, of dates which do and do not suit you, so we can try our best to work around this for you.
Delivery is calculated from the weight of your order. The heavier your order is, the more expensive delivery will cost. Prices start from £15.95 and go up to £49.95 for standard UK delivery. If you need your order sooner, this will increase the price too.
Our Skirting UK Delivery team put cardboard edge protection on all sides of the package to reduce the risk of the skirting boards and architraves being damaged during transit. Then they tightly shrink wrap them to ensure that they reach to you in the same condition that they were dispatched.
When ordering 1 length, another piece of MDF may be wrapped with your parcel to provide extra protection to the product.

Yes, we can match your existing skirting board or any product that you have. If you can not find your profile online, we can either try to replicate this as much as we can with our tools.
Alternatively, we would require you to send us a piece of your old skirting or architrave, we will then get a tool made from that piece and it will be matched exactly.
The tool service costs a one-off price from £250 – £350 (plus VAT) and then we will charge for the skirting on top of that. This process takes about 2 – 3 weeks but you will have the exact same profile or product as before.

Yes we can make your designs come to life, nothing better than seeing your designs in your own home that are unique to you. We can also use an image and create a skirting board or architrave from that image too. There really is nothing we cannot do to help and support you our customer with your home or project.
We would require you to send us your design or image and then we will get a drawing done of the tool for you to approve. Once approved we will get your bespoke tool made from that piece and it will be matched exactly. The tool service costs a one-off price from £250 – £350 (plus VAT) and then we will charge for the skirting on top of that. This process takes about 2 – 3 weeks but you will have the exact same profile or product as before.
