Order Your Panelling Strips Pre-Painted

At Skirting UK, we offer painting services. You can save time by ordering your strips prefinished. We have 3 fully finished options, which all firstly have two coats of primer. If you prefer to paint this yourself, you also do have the option to order primed, or even unprimed. You can complete all the priming, sanding, and painting yourself, or we can do that for you!

Unprimed: Raw MDF board only. Please note you will need a primer coat before any finish coat is applied.

Primed: Two coats of white primer are applied.

Eggshell (15%): Two coats of white primer are applied, and then the top coat of white Eggshell, leaving a sleek matte finish.

Satin (40%): Two coats of white primer are applied and then the top coat of white Satin leaves a smooth velvety finish.

Gloss (70%): Two coats of white primer are applied and then the top coat of white Gloss leaves a quality soft shine finish.

You can order your MDF Panelling Strips; unprimed, primed, eggshell, or satin.

If you would prefer to paint the MDF wall panel strips independently, then order in White Primer, as this is sanded down – ideal for painting and creates a surface that is ideal for finishing. The raw MDF (unprimed) will need to be sanded and primed before it is ideal for painting. Only once sanded and primed, the MDF has a smooth feel.

The paint is sprayed in-house by one of our spray technicians, using Morrells Wood finishes paints. The paints that we use are also top standard.

Our Eggshell, Satin and Gloss finishes are sprayed in-house by our Spray Technicians. You can also purchase touch up paint pots if you wish to go for a fully finished railing.

Moisture Resistant MDF:

All of our MDF mouldings including the Square MDF  wall panel strips are made to order using high quality, industrial-grade, moisture resistant MDF. We source our MDF in the UK from our trusted timber suppliers.
