The Georgian era was focused on good proportion, symmetry, and harmony which is clearly represented within our Georgian architrave. From a period with Italian design influences that were often proportionate and symmetrical, the Georgian design is an elegant one with elements of rococo, neoclassicism and Orientalism. This feminine Georgian architrave is one of the many perfect profiles for a period home style.

Georgian Architrave Dimensions and Specifications

The profile shape of Georgian is 45mm wide, created using a moulding tool. Therefore this will remain the same in all sizes and Georgian products.

• Height – The set heights we have for this product are 70mm or 95mm. If you would prefer sizes in between these, such as 80mm, simply choose 95mm, and ask for this to be cut down to size in the delivery notes at the checkout, however if you would like a taller height such as 110mm, contact us by email.
• Depth – The thickness of your architrave, this product can be made on either 18mm or 25mm. This can not be modified.
• Length – You can order your architrave in either 2440mm, 3050mm, or 4200mm lengths. The formula for working out how many lengths you need is:
  The total linear metre is divided by the length size. You then round up the number.
  For example, if you would like your architrave on 4.2-metre length boards, and you need 83 metres of architrave, you would do:
  83 / 4.2 = 19.76. You would then round this up so you will need 20 lengths.

Can I Order Already Painted Architrave?

Yes, you can order your architrave already painted! Skirting UK offers a variety of painting services. You can choose to either order your products with us unprimed, and you can complete all the priming, sanding, and painting yourself. Alternatively, you can save plenty of time and hassle and take advantage of the painting services we offer.

• Unprimed – Supplied as Raw MDF board. There will be no paint or paint prep applied. Please be aware, that due to the density of MDF, you will need to apply a primer coat before any finish coat is applied.
• Primed – White oil-based primer is spray painted onto the products. This is sanded down in between coats.
• Eggshell (15%) – Two coats of white primer are applied, and then one top coat of white Eggshell, paint creates a sleek matte finish.
• Satin (40%) – Two coats of white primer are applied and then one top coat of white Satin paint, creates a smooth velvety finish.
• Gloss (70%) – Two coats of white primer are applied and then one top coat of white Gloss paint, creates a quality soft shine finish.

Is there a matching Skirting Board, Architrave and Dado Rail?

Yes, there is a matching skirting board, architrave and dado for every profile shape. Did you know you can order this exact profile in skirting boards and dado rail from us too? We use a tool that moulds the profile into the MDF, meaning you can create a seamless finish across your whole project. Order Profile 4 skirting board, to create a seamless flow. Can I get an architrave sample of Georgian?

Yes, Skirting UK offers a free architrave sample service. Want to see the product in person before you place your full order? Get a Georgian architrave sample. Our free architrave samples are all premade in the most popular dimensions which are a height of 70mm and a depth of 18mm. Firstly, samples are pre-primed and then coated in a layer of Eggshell paint. Samples are shipped in 1-2 working days. This fast delivery service helps those on a tight project deadline. Can I get a Georgian architrave sample in a different size or paint finish?

Bespoke samples are a great way to find out if a particular skirting or architrave will suit the desired style of your home. With custom heights, depths, and finishes, you can see if specific dimensions will work for your property. To sum up, custom-made samples are great to get a real feel for how your desired architrave will work in your project.
